Home Rule


The Town of Telluride is a home rule municipality. The Mayor and six council members are elected for four-year terms. The Mayor and Town Council members do not have offices at Town Hall.

The Town Council meeting schedule is set at the end of the year for the next calendar year. They are held approximately every third Tuesday at Rebekah Hall, 113 West Columbia Avenue.

The Town Council Of The Town Of Telluride, Colorado Passed Ordinance #1472 An Ordinance Of The Town Council Of The Town Of Telluride, Colorado Providing For The Conveyance Of Certain Real Property Located East Of The Town Of Telluride And Within The Unincorporated Portion Of San Miguel County To The Lone Tree Cemetery District Of The County Of San Miguel, State Of Colorado To Be Used Exclusively For Cemetery And Burial Purposes At Their Regular Meeting On September 25, 2018.  Ordinance #1472 Shall Become Effective Upon The Date Of Publication Of Notice Of Its Passage, And Copies Of The New Ordinance Are Available At Town Hall.
